Our High Energy Fledgling Mix™ has done its work for this year! It will be available for the 2025 Season. We will let you know as soon as we make the first batch.

Our totally delicious High Energy Fledgling™ bird seed mix is a blend of 'mini bites' which will be loved particularly by fledglings and little birds with mini beaks. A great choice for this time of year with youngsters everywhere! It is ultra-high energy, and is a great source of essential nutrients that give young fledglings the energy boost they need to take on the day.

Our high energy fledgling mix is also a 'no mess, won't grow' mix, so everything will be eaten.

High Energy Fledgling Mix™ comprises homegrown naked oats, premium sunflower heart chips (smaller bite size pieced of sunflower heart) peanuts granules, and delicious bite-size suet pellets (all in nibble-size pieces which are highly digestible) to give fledglings a real power start.

Fledgling Bird Food FAQs:

What’s the best bird feed for fledglings?
When feeding fledglings, it’s advised to try and stick as close to their natural diet as possible. We suggest putting out the following feeds for fledglings:
- Sunflower seeds
- Waxworms
- Mealworms
- High Energy Fledgling Mix™

What do baby birds eat in the wild?
Baby birds tend to eat the same things their parents eat, including insects, seeds, nuts, fruit, and earthworms.

Is it OK to feed a fledgling?
If you find a fledgling that seems to be left all alone, we’d advise against picking it up straight away. Sometimes fledglings are being left to learn to fend for themselves, but are still being fed by their parents. If you take the fledgling straight away, the parents may return later only to find their baby gone!
