Some people enjoy watching the antics of squirrels as they attempt to pilfer the bird feeders, but more often than not, people ask for advice about how to stop squirrels getting into feeders and scaring off your favourite garden birds.

HOW TO KEEP SQUIRRELS OUT OF YOUR GARDEN
Anyone who has ever tried to outsmart a squirrel knows how difficult this can be. Squirrels are extremely cunning, and are physically equipped to successfully overcome the obstacles that we put in their way.
Squirrels can climb polished steel poles, leap more than 8 feet, and their tails give them phenomenal balance, allowing them to effortlessly cross long lengths of thin wire. They can dig and can even swim, so building a moat to protect your bird feeders from squirrels is probably not the answer either!
