Metal Bird - Great Spotted Woodpecker
Adding this Steel silhouette of the Great Spotted Woodpecker is a bit quieter than the real thing! The drumming of the Woodpecker’s beak on wood at about 10-16 strikes per second, lets their mate know where they are and also marks out their territory.
This is so easy to install with the tap of a hammer (pre-drilled hard wood) and make a superb addition to any corner of the garden.
Crafted in 3mm Corten® 'weathering' steel to form a stunning patina that will change with the seasons. Within a few weeks of exposure to the elements it will develop the patina that seals the steel and preserve it for decades, leaving it with a beautiful even colouring that will get darker over the years.
The Woodpecker is 31.5cm high by 10cm wide (this doesn't include measurement of the branch/spike).
